TULSA, Okla. – With summer right around the corner, News On 6 is excited to announce the premiere of “Oklahoma’s Own Originals: Summer Adventures” on June 14, 2022 at 8 p.m.  

Presented by News On 6 and Chris Nikel Auto, our latest Oklahoma’s Own Original will highlight local and regional destinations perfect for exploring and that won’t break the bank. 

“We know that many Oklahoma families will be looking for fun things to do this summer,” said Mark Pinkerton, News On 6 Executive Producer of Special Projects. “With gas prices expected to climb even higher, News On 6 is excited to showcase exciting destinations close to home.” 

Tag along with our News On 6 teams as they travel across Oklahoma from the Shangri-La Resort on Grand Lake to a one-of-a-kind place to stay in Vian called The Silo. We’ll also check out some locations made famous by films shot here in Oklahoma. And, we all know that Oklahoma’s weather can rain on anyone’s summer fun. We’ll share fun ideas for families to do indoors. 

Our teams will also head to regional destinations, including Fantastic Caverns in Missouri and Jefferson, Texas – a quaint town just a couple hours over the state line.  

News On 6 will air “Oklahoma’s Own Originals: Summer Adventures” on Tuesday, June 14 from 8-9 p.m.
