TULSA, Okla. – Griffin Media recently announced Chuck Maulden as Vice President of Content and Kristie Webb as News Director for Oklahoma’s Own News On 6. Both have been integral players at Griffin for several years.

“All of us at Griffin Media are pleased to have Chuck and Kristie on-board in these new roles,” Griffin President Rob Krier said. “Their leadership and experience will serve the teams well as they continue to keep Oklahomans safe, informed and entertained.”

Maulden brings 45 years of broadcasting experience to the role, the last four as News Director for KOTV - News On 6. Prior to leading the News On 6 newsroom, Chuck was News Director at KOLR/KOZL in Springfield, MO as well as KTHV in Little Rock, AR. His background as a photographer and producer has made Chuck a natural fit to shepherd a busy newsroom.

"I could not be more grateful to take on this new role as Vice President of Content for Griffin Media," Maulden said. "The opportunity to work with two great newsrooms—NewsOn6 in Tulsa and News9 in Oklahoma—has to be the best job in the world."

Webb started at News 9 in 1999 before moving to News On 6 in 2000, starting as an Associate Producer and eventually taking over the directorship of Special Projects. During her time as a producer, Kristie won a Regional Murrow for the “Missing Not Forgotten” special and helped produce the “We Remember” special that marked the 25th anniversary of the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building.

"I could not be more humbled or excited. I have built my career at this station and what happens here matters to me," Webb said. "I believe in our mission, I believe in this team and I know there is nowhere else I'd rather be."
